ABBOTSFORD Police say that a male in his early 20s was shot and an 18-year-old male is in custody.
On Sunday at 6:14 p.m., the Abbotsford Police received a 911 hang up phone call alerting them to a possible shooting at a residence in the 2500-block of Birch Street. The BC Ambulance Service arrived at the residence and located a male who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The male was transported by BC Ambulance Service to hospital where he remains in critical condition.
An 18-year-old male has been arrested and remains in police custody.
Currently, Major Crime detectives, Forensic Identification Section and Patrol Officers are investigating.
