COQUITLAM RCMP said on Monday that they are investigating an overnight shooting which sent two people to hospital.

At approximately 11:56 p.m. on Sunday, February 11, Coquitlam RCMP responded to a shooting in a parking lot near Barnet Highway and Pinetree Way in Coquitlam. Police quickly located a vehicle with two people, one adult female and one adult male, both suffering from gunshot wounds who were both transported to hospital.

Police said they are in the initial stages of the investigation and are asking any witnesses or anyone who may have dash-cam, surveillance or cellphone video, between 10:30 p.m. on February 11 and 12:30 a.m. on February 12 to contact Coquitlam RCMP investigators at 604-945-1550 and quote Coquitlam File Number 2024-3605.
