Three South Asian officers recognized at Delta Police Awards Night

Delta Police Awards NightTHREE South Asians officers were among those brave and outstanding officers of Delta Police who were honoured at the annual Delta Police Awards Night last week.

This was an occasion to acknowledge the exemplary service, sacrifice and contribution of police officers, professional support staff, volunteers, and citizens who have epitomized the Delta Police Department’s values of “Honour, Integrity, Courage and Trust” by going above and beyond to help others.

Fifty-four police officers (including 7 from other police departments), 18 members of the public, two professional support staff, and three volunteers were selected to receive awards.

The evening was hosted by the Delta Police Foundation. Since 2002, the Delta Police Foundation has made it possible for the public to support the Delta Police Department. For over 10 years, residents and businesses in Delta have helped raise thousands of dollars for initiatives that are outside the department’s regular operating budget. Some of these initiatives have included the Delta Police Emergency Command Vehicle and vans for each of the Community Police Stations.
