Two employees of Vancouver’s Gallery nightclub arrested for alleged drug trafficking

A Vancouver Police investigation into alleged drug trafficking at a Marpole nightclub has led to the arrest of two men this week.

VPD launched the investigation in December 2023 after receiving a tip that drug trafficking was taking place inside Gallery Nightclub located near SW Marine and Hudson Street.

Over the course of a 15-month investigation, officers gathered evidence that led to the arrest of two men, both employees of the nightclub.

The BC Prosecution Service has approved charges against:

  • Anthony Pomonis, 51, with one count of trafficking a controlled substance.
  • Navid Zanganeh, 28, with four counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, three counts of trafficking a controlled substance, one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and one count of possession of an unauthorized weapon.

Pomonis, and Zanganeh have been released until their next court appearance.
