NORTH Vancouver RCMP are warning dog owners to keep an extra eye out after receiving a report of what appeared to be purposely placed dog treats next to small pieces of glass in the Mosquito Creek trails near Glen Canyon Drive.

Police received the report on February 7 after a dog found the treats and its owner noticed the glass placed next to them along a hollowed-out tree stump.

Thankfully, the dog that found the treats did not eat the glass and was unharmed,” said Constable Kelly McIntyre. “Please continue to be vigilant when out with your dogs on the trails and report anything suspicious as soon as possible.”
