THE VOICE has learned that former solicitor general Kash Heed will be running for Richmond City Council.
It appears that Heed, who’s constantly approached by mainstream and ethnic media for comments on law and order issues, is eager to get back into politics and serve the people directly.
There is no doubt that as a Councillor he would provide solid input on issues that really matter to residents.
Heed served for decades in the Vancouver Police Department, handling gang and drug enforcement commands, among other positions. He also headed West Vancouver Police for two years.
In 2009, Heed was elected as the BC Liberal MLA for Vancouver-Fraserview. He was appointed Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General.
Heed is expected to make an announcement soon.
