Yet another rally outside Vancouver’s Indian Consulate General to support Indian farmers

SOUTH Asians in British Columbians remain firm in their support for Indian farmers demanding that the Indian government withdraw the three new farmers laws that they say leave them at the mercy of greedy traders and would ruin their livelihoods. Braving the cold, miserable weather, they held a fervent protest outside the Indian Consulate General in downtown Vancouver. Many fear that there would be an increase in farmers’ suicides as they are unable to pay off their loans. The protest movement in India is only getting larger and more intense with each passing day.
