Alleged church vandals charged following Vancouver Police investigation

A Vancouver Police investigation has led to criminal charges against two women who allegedly vandalized an East Vancouver church this summer.

Vancouver Police launched an investigation on Canada Day, after someone used orange paint to deface the outside of St. Jude’s Parish, located near Rupert Street and Grandview Highway.

B.C. Prosecution Service has now approved one count of mischief against Emily Luba and Zoe Luba, both 27.

The case was one of 13 incidents of vandalism that occurred at religious properties in Vancouver between June 2 and July 20.
