Police looking for driver involved in a hit-and-run incident in Maple Ridge

RIDGE Meadows RCMP are asking the driver of a 2000s white Toyota hatchback to turn himself in to police after being involved in a hit-and-run incident in late January.

On January 26 at approximately 12:05 p.m., Ridge Meadows RCMP frontline officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run incident involving a pedestrian and the Toyota in the area of 240 Street and 118 Avenue in Maple Ridge.

BC Emergency Health Services (BC EHS) attended the scene and transported the pedestrian, who had sustained a broken leg, to hospital.

The driver of the Toyota is believed to be:

* A South Asian man
* In his sixties
* Wearing a gold-coloured turban

Police are asking that the driver of the Toyota come forward and contact investigators.
