Teen photographers: What makes Surrey beautiful?

SURREY Libraries, in coordination with the Guildford Teen Library Council, is hosting an online photography competition that runs throughout April. This year’s theme is: What makes Surrey beautiful?

Teens ages 13-19 are invited to show off what makes Surrey beautiful by submitting a photo to michael.hunc@surrey.ca by Saturday, April 30. Members of the Guildford Teen Library Council will vote on their favourite submissions and the top three entries will earn gift card prizes: first place: $20 pre-paid Visa gift card, second place: $15 Starbucks gift card, third place: $10 McDonald’s gift card. Participants must be residents of Surrey and can make one submission each. Photos must not contain people’s faces.

Teen Library Council members are teen volunteers that serve as youth ambassadors for Surrey Libraries by planning events and advising the Library of services that are meaningful to teens. There are currently five Teen Library Councils active at the City Centre, Guildford, Fleetwood, Semiahmoo, and Clayton-Cloverdale branches.
